I received the following email from somebody who saw the company list and inquired about Lockport Lending...
This is a little bit of a twist on the usual "just send the money" via Money Gram. In this case, the scammers are trying to show that they are trustworthy. But the truth is that once you give them the verification/transaction number they can pick up the money anywhere in the world.

Here is more about this story that I will share. I called them again today and they said if I want to be sure that my loan is funded I can send the 5 months pre payment to an anonymous (made up) name or a friend or family member and then call them with the verification/transcation number (Money Gram etc.) then I go back to MoneyGram and tell them that the person is sick and cannot pick up the money. Once Lockport lending verifies that the money is there they will fund the loan and I then change the Money Gram to the funder of my loan. I called Money Gram and they verified my suspicion that this is a new scam and that even if I did it this way they would still get my money somehow. I also called the police in Cumberland Rhode Island as this is where they company is supposed to be based. I gave them the names , phone number, and address. The officer took my report and said that they will pass this information to a department that deals with these type of issues. I am very glad that I did not send them any money or do what they asked me to do.. PS I also left a message with my "rep" at Lockport telling them that I knew that they were a fraud and that I was contacting the authorities.

I work at a newspaper in Idaho where we just got a fax to run an ad for personal and business loans from a company called Norway Lending. The fax number used for this ad is the same used for the Prudential Group on your list of scammers. We researched the number, found it on your scam site, as well as other scam sites. We of course refused the ad but I wanted to let people know the Prudential Group may now be operating under a new name.

Also thanks to you and the newspaper for checking on the facts behind the ad. Unfortunately not all newspapers are as ethical and many of these scam loan companies get advertised in local newspapers.

I have actually been scammed by the Bowery lending group in April. So I have been keeping an eye out for them to come back online. The two URLs mentioned in the previous post have been shut down since I noticed they were up and I'll be on the look out for them again. This time they messed with the wrong person.
