The focus of the desk is third party placements. The desk acts as an interface between external issuers looking to borrow money and Calyon’s salesforce across the world selling structured and vanilla products. These issuers are borrowing via issuance of debt, which once issued is privately placed by the Calyon's salesforce.
? Manage relationships with a large range of EMTN issuers: banks, agencies, supranationals and corporates
. Discussion of possible transactions, responsible for all execution with issuers: negotiating funding levels with the issuer, obtaining and executing mandates from issuers, confirm issue swaps
