Advance fee loan scams and fraudulent loan sites.

Scammers scour online message boards and forums, seeking consumers struggling to obtain loans. They pose as Lending Tree (a legitimate organisation) and approach consumers, offering cash loans at minimal interest rates and with no regard for poor credit histories. Scammers convince victims to enable access to their online bank accounts. The Scammers then reverse recent payments made from the Victim's bank account, making it seem that they have deposited a sum of money into the account (ie, the 'loan'). The Victim then sends a 'lending fee', often paid by Target and eBay gift cards.
