I an confident the application will ask for identifying information. The problem I see is you do not know who will receive that information or where it will go after you complete the form. Personally, I would not be comfortable giving out such information to an unknown person or entity.

I would encourage you to apply for a loan in person with a reputable and known company that tells you where your information will be stored, how it will be used and what rights you have.

If this is legitimate, your information will be shopped around to various lenders and you will get calls from those lenders sales people for many days and at inconvenient times. They will have the right to do this because you have asked for them to find lenders for you.
