There is a genuine branch of the Halifax at the address given in this scam mail - but this email did not come from anyone associated with that bank. The scammer sending this mail is not genuinely offering a loan. He aims to take money from you, pretending that there is some type of fee that it is necessary to pay before the loan is made. But he will never be granting any type of loan in return.
The genuine Halifax does not use a telephone number beginning +44 70 as given in this email. A +44 70 number is a UK Redirect number, redirecting calls to other parts of the world. A genuine phone number for Bromley begins +44 20.
