Advance fee loan scams and fraudulent loan sites.

I received an email stating I was approved for a long term loan on 8/18/2013. I proceeded to contract the company via phone to confirm their information and ensure that this was a legit.

I reviewed all scam websites and the BBB which the company had an A- rating as of yesterday the are now rated F. The company requires bad credit individual to secure their loan with a few option one of which is an insurance policy that you pay upfront.

After several conversation and email correspondence I proceeded to send my funds and was advised that I would receive my loan in 24 to 48 hours.

That was on 8/23/13 and to this date I have not received my funds or request for my refund. They will also block you number if you continue to call and ask question regarding your loan status.

I was able to reach them if I used other phone with different phone numbers but this is a scam and their are still have an active website and phone number.

Phone number 866-281-4712 X 505 and 506. Names Mary Ross and Carlos Morgan and Gary.

When you deal with people over the internet and by e-mail it's impossible to know if they are who they claim to be.

I have noted this entry that might provide alternative contact information if they are the people you were dealing with.

As far as I am aware debt default isn't an insurable risk but I don't know what you were told.

I see from another report that payment in that case was made by by 'Green Dot MoneyPak and there's no way of knowing who received your payment. It might even be someone abroad.

The fact is that anyone genuinely making you a loan doesn't require any up-front payment and, anyone who does, is scamming you.

I suspect that this type of fraud will become a lot more common.

I agree. As of today there phones are still working and website is still up so I feel that you have to make people aware of these scams. To prevent others from getting taken.

The same exact thing happened to me this past week. They approved me for a loan, said to secure the loan with an insurance policy, I sent them 1200 dollars in good faith. They now blocked all my calls, won't call me back, no refund, paid with green dot money pak, have all docs in place, contacted the FBI and hired an attorney. I am going to take down this company legally and if so, will go do Dundee IL and beat the shit out of everyone at that address. Do not accept anything from this company, they are fraudulent!!! I am taking them to court and have contacted the authorities. The person I was dealing with is Gary Anderson. He is going to pay for what he did.

Hi Chris I sent to the FBI, BBB and every site to try to prevent from others. If I can help let me know. I have all the documents and information. You can call them using a different number. They only block the number you gave them.

Chris and Renee: I too received an email stating that I had been approved for a loan. Mine was for the amount of $12,000. I remember applying on their website so I didn't think this was a scam. The e-mail seemed very professional and legitimate. I read over the package and the offer and gathered the proper documentation they needed on my end to recieve the loan. I chose the insurance option for $670.

I currently have all the information he needed from me ready to send to them. I was planning on emailing Gary Anderson today with said information. I don't know what made me, but I decided to google the website one more time. One of the first links that come up on google is the BBB. S&S Financial Services are not even accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

I am so furious. Absolutely and utterly disgusted. I was ready to send these people 670 of my hard earned dollars! I even asked "Gary", who knows what his real name is, are you sure this is legal? I've heard about numerous loan scams. I'm not trying to be scammed out of any money. He assured me that the company has been in business for 15 years and that they have an A rating with the BBB. He even told me to go to the BBB website and do my "due diligence". How audacious and arrogant. On one hand, I'm very relieved I didn't send any money, on the other, I have to now start my process of applying for a loan all over again. It's not right, what these people get away with. I will do whatever I can to shut this company down!

Hi Mayor, I am glad you did not get scammed. They are very good. I was told to check them on the BBB and when I did they had no complaints and had an A- rating. I too asked Mary if this was legit and I searched all scam site for any case and there was none.

I was so angry about it I did not want others to fall into there scam. So I went to the FBI, BBB, 800note and all others I could think of to make sure other did not get taken like I did. There are other out there that have contracted me so be careful.
