Shutting down the sites cost them money spent. Now they have to repeat.

Taking away the receiver/mule makes them start over recruiting.

That is strictly up to the host. Some sites disappear rather quickly and others remain online for an extended period of time. Sometimes after public exposure the scammer will abandon the site.
Posting the information on public forums does hurt the scammers when other potential victims find the warnings and look elsewhere for an new companion.
