This scam was used on me and my family this morning.

All necessary flight arrangements for your puppy has been made but unfortunately your puppy will not be able to get on a flight due to the fact that your puppy does not have a standard valid Life Pet Travel Insurance Policy.

Vet & health conformation papers ......... Processed {valid}
- As per USDA guidelines, it's a requirement that the vet/health conformation certificates be issued within 10 days of travel, our veterinarians have examine and conform them, the certificates have been processed and validated.

Insurance terms:

:- Pet's estimated Value: This refers to carriers estimated market value of your pets.
:- Reimbursement Policy: This refers to the total amount that may be paid to you in-case of any hazards that may occur during the shipping process. Except under exceptional circumstances as will be determined on a case by case bases, the reimbursement policy will not exceed 110% of pet's estimated value.
:- Policy Price: This refers to the amount payable by the policy holder to the carrier for the insuring policy of his/her pet.
:- Refund Policy (Generally 99% of Policy price): This refers to the amount that will be refunded by the carrier to the policy holder upon safe delivery of the pet.

:- Processing Charges (Generally 1% of policy price): This refers to the amount that may be deducted by the carrier from the Policy price for processing the insurance policy.
Attached to this email is the insurance policy for your pet including all policy details as explained above as well as payment instructions. Insurance Payment Strategy:

The insurance fee to be paid per animal must be equivalent to the cost price of the animal in question and this was decided by the US Aviation Commission / US Financial Bureau.Looking at clause 5A above, it shows that the insurance cost to be paid as required by the US Aviation Commission is $1.500 for the puppy.

But this system brought to many complaints from pet owners and beyond and so the two mother committees sat and decided to adopt the Full refund Insurance Scheme method of insurance payments. This system requires that the owner of the animals pays the total amount of the insurance fee and the total amount most be Refunded in cash including the transfer charges, upon safe arrival of this puppy at his or her respective destination.

To this effect, you are required to pay a total sum of $1.500 .The money will be Refunded at the time of delivery by the delivery agents who will bring the puppy to you. The refund will be made in cash at time of delivery and it will have to be refunded in total as stated in clause 7A of the US Aviation Commission / Financial Bureau laws.

We also wish to inform you that the puppy will remain here until the refundable insurance fee is paid before they can depart from our detention. There is no compromise on this issue. We request and advice you treat this issue with a high degree of discretion and urgency.

Insurance Payment Strategy:

The insurance fee to be paid per animal must be equivalent to the cost price of the animal in question and this was decided by the US Aviation Commission / US Financial Bureau.Looking at clause 5A above, it shows that the insurance cost to be paid as required by the US Aviation Commission is $1.500 for the puppy.

But this system brought to many complaints from pet owners and beyond and so the two mother committees sat and decided to adopt the Full refund Insurance Scheme method of insurance payments. This system requires that the owner of the animals pays the total amount of the insurance fee and the total amount most be Refunded in cash including the transfer charges, upon safe arrival of this puppy at his or her respective destination.

To this effect, you are required to pay a total sum of $1.500 .The money will be Refunded at the time of delivery by the delivery agents who will bring the puppy to you. The refund will be made in cash at time of delivery and it will have to be refunded in total as stated in clause 7A of the US Aviation Commission / Financial Bureau laws.

We also wish to inform you that the puppy will remain here until the refundable insurance fee is paid before they can depart from our detention. There is no compromise on this issue. We request and advice you treat this issue with a high degree of discretion and urgency.

According to the international aviation Commission's rules and regulations on pet transportation, such fragile domestic breeds are not allowed to be shipped by air or land without proper measures, travel insurance being the number one priority.
State law on animal aviation also states required insurance due to complain and various shipment hazards, so all pets traveling within the United States shall be liable till insured accordingly.
The payment of an insurance policy shall cover all risk, including but not limited to health, life, stress etc...
This policy will be determined by each carrier and shall not exceed limits as set in place by applicable laws.

* Pet's estimated Value: This refers to carriers estimated market value of your pet.
