After looking for a puppy and thinking I knew what to look for when it came to scams... I have now done some research and have found that this scammer has 3 different websites that he works through; helpinghandsbulldogs, bulldogsbay and the shipping company that was supposed to courier the puppy to and from the airport which is Comfort Relocator. Luckily, I was able to reverse all funds sent to this person. The pet was to be dropped off at Comfort Relocators, which he said happened. I received an email with the tracking number for the puppy from the so called seller. I then received a phone call letting me know I needed to go online to the Comfort Relocator page and pay the shipping fee through the site. I went to the site, attempted to pay the shipping and received a message that my cc was not charged due to the payment page being down, under maintenance. I was then told to wire $200 for the shipping. I was to pay the cost of the puppy once she arrived at my door. I then got a phone call that there were no flights going out that day and that I needed to pay for them to care for the pup over night including food and water. I did that and the next day, the website tracking page was showing she was on a plane. It was showing the airline name and flight number. I never received an itinerary from the courier company though and could not get ahold of anyone. The next day, the tracking page of the website was showing I needed to pay for pet insurance because the insurance had expired. I received a phone call telling me I needed to pay for the insurance. At this point, I did know it was a scam. I went to Spokeo website and input the courier website to search for the person linked to it and ended up finding this person was linked to both the puppy website and courier website and stumbled on the second puppy website he was also linked to. My husband is in law enforcement and is taking this as far as he is able. Lesson...Research all parties involved.
