directly to them and not to me

That was written by an African and sounds like a typical pet scam script. Please post the complete headers of the email, which may show where the sender really is. Others may be searching for the email address.

Did she mention the email address or URL of the courier?

Never, ever, ever purchase a pet without seeing it first. You can not tell its health, temperament, or anything about it if you see the animal with your own eyes and in person before you buy it.

not to mention the fact that some stranger on the internet is now asking for your personal information. You should never give information like that out to someone you don't know / trust, or has a privacy policy that will protect you ( such as a real business).
