Is this actually a totally fake site, meaning you pay and no puppy is sent, or is it one of these Russian sites I've heard about where they show you pictures of healthy, pure bred puppies that cost a fraction of what they normally would, and after you pick one out what is actually shipped to you is either a mutt or a scruffy maybe pure bred from a puppy mill? I had a customer of mine from Russia tell me that there are puppy mills all over the United States that work with people in Russia. So while they're telling you they have the puppies in their home and the parents are family pets, they actually contact a puppy mill in the U.S. that has the breed you want and tell them what sex you want. Then the puppy mill puts the puppy on the plane to you.
I just checked this site out, and it seems like a lot of work to be completely fake, meaning they are only going to take a small number of orders before being shut down. Obviously the puppies on their page don't exist, but the amount of info they have on their page is impressive. The only thing missing from their page on the shipping process and the procedures is any mention of customs. Also, they say they have the puppies in their home, but on the procedure page they slipped up, saying that after you call or email them initially and tell them which puppy you're interested in they "call the breeder to see if the puppy is still available and to tell them to hold the puppy". So this mistake combined with the total lack of mention about the puppy going through customs and quarantine leads me to believe they are actually working with puppy mills/back yard breeders in the U.S. and they are actually shipping puppies. $300-$400 for a puppy plus another $300 to ship them to your local air port (it states you have to pick up your puppy at the airport unless you want to pay extra for someone to bring it to your home, if so they may be able to arrange something) really isn't unrealistic if they are coming from puppy mills and not well bred and have congenital issues. Also there is no mention of having to pay with Western Union or MoneyGram, you can pay however you want to pay.
So my question is, is this legal? It's unethical, I hate puppy mills, but is it against the law? It's definitely false advertising.
