Hi, We are having the time of our lives raising these wonderful companion parrots. My love for parrots started when I was a little girl, and got my first Cockatiel at the age of 14! I started my college career as a Veterinarian Technician. Unfortunately, life (as it always does) got in the way. (No regrets!) I had two boys at a young age and decided to change my career path. I have received an Associates in Business Management. I am also a Certified Avian Specialist (CAS) and continue my education with the AFA (American Federation of Aviculture) as a certified Aviculturist. I have had the pleasure of learning from top animal trainers and Aviculturist such as Rick Jordan, Robin Shewokis, Barbara Heidenreich and Dr. Susan Clubb. My areas of focus are anatomy and physiology to avian behavior, microbiology, laws and regulations, preventing illness, avian genetics, color mutations, hybrids, hand-rearing, proper socialization and positive re-enforcement training. Shannon’s love and knowledge of parrots develop when she met me and was introduced to my flock!
