Hello, I am helping a friend and her boys regarding this scam. My friend, Jennifer contacted "Johnson Amos" through Brandes Julies Pet shop page on Facebook. She was private messaged and they proceeded to discuss the purchase of a Shitz Zhu. She was sent pics, texted and spoke on the phone. She was asked to make payments via Money Gram because they did not accept credit cards. She was very trusting and made 3 payments totaling $1,835.00. She was promised delivery last week from Delaware, we are in NY. Her boys were excited to get the puppy. Instead, she got an email saying the puppy died while receiving his injections!!!??? Needless to say, the family is devastated. Please, if anyone can give us direction on how to catch this criminal and get the money back, we would be very grateful!

Any money paid through money gram that has already been collected is gone forever with no real hope of recovering the funds.
The scammers are most likely located in Western Africa which puts them well out of the reach of local US law enforcement.
If possible post a copy of the emails the scammer sent asking for the payments to be sent via Money Gram. Posting email addresses and telephone numbers the scammers used will help expose the scam.
