I posted an ad on Craigslist for a French Bulldog that I wanted. Someone messaged me a day later giving me a whole story on how she can't care for the dog anymore because her daughter is in the hospital and her husband died, etc. Even sent me pictures of someone in a hospital bed. We were talking for a while and they seemed really convincing. Said their pastor said if they wanted to find a good home for the dog, not to sell it, to give it away. Said they were a pastor themselves. They said they'd ship the dog to me if I paid the $180 shipping fee. I thought, not a bad price.
But when it came time to pay, I got this email and it just reeks of scam.

First thing that tipped me off was the email, wouldn't a company use a company email?
Then when I was asked to pay using Western Union.
I Googled a bunch of things including the phone number and sent them pictures of it saying it was a scam. Later I got a call saying it was the "company" and I was disrespectful for calling it a scam. After I sent the final text of a screenshot where it said that exact number had been used to scam before, they quickly withdrew the offer.
But when it came time to pay, I got this email and it just reeks of scam.
