Scams selling or giving away non-existent animals, often Puppy Scams.

There is a person supposedly from Virginia using the name and email of Michelle Hill ([email protected]) who is pretending to be an Aussiedoodle breeder. She has classified ads online, and when you request information via email she says she is sold out. Then she proceeds to tell you a sob story about her close friend Christina Davies ([email protected]), who adopted 2 puppies (one male and one female) from her and how she was transferred to west Africa because she works for Christian Aid Mission in VA. Michelle will provide you Christina's contact information including the address for Christian Aid Mission (434-977-5650) which is a legitimate organization, her address in Nigeria, and her email address. When you contact Christina she will tell you how adorable and awesome her two pups are and how you must send her pictures of them growing up so she knows her puppies are in a good home. She will also give you a contact number of 234-813-210-4015. She will ask to be paid by moneygram because there are too many scams with paypal. She will tell you to send it to her travel agent in Reno, Nevada and that once the money is received Michelle will ship the puppies. If you are hesitant, she will offer to send the puppies for half the price and once you get the puppies, you can immediately send the other half. She will give you one of the following addresses for the moneygram: 1) Micheal Williams, E. Liberty St, Reno Nevada 89501 or 2) Micheal Williams 239 E 2nd St, Reno, Nevada 89501.
Please note that we were not scammed. We did our research and knew it was a scam when she sent us the address (#1) from above. As you can see there is no house or business number just the street name. When I told her the address wasn't working she sent me the other address (#2). When you google the address, it brings up 236 and it is an empty lot in Reno. We can't get 239 to come up on the map. I also called Christian Aid Mission and they confirmed that Christina did not work there and that the puppy ad was a scam. I kept contact via email so I could obtain as much information from her/him as possible so I could report it to the authorities. I hope this helps anyone else out there that might have run into this person(s). At this point, I am not sure if they are two different people or just one person using two different email addresses, or if she is a she, or a he. They are in Nevada since that is where she/he/they want the money sent.

Hello VBarn and welcome to Scamwarners,

This is a common puppy scam script run from Nigeria, Africa. The same scammer is probably playing all of the roles in this scam.
The money may be collected in Nevada by either an accomplice who lives in the US or another victim of the this scammer who thinks that he has a work at home job processing payments.

The scammers often use the names of real organizations to add credibility to the scam.

The puppies do not exist and they were just trying to steal money from you.

Please post the full email that had the sob story, including the email address used. Be sure to remove your personal information before posting.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

Yes I recently got puppy scammed by a lady by the name of Laura Jesus sanches who claimed to live in Spokane. We emailed each other and she then said she took the puppy to safe flight services to be flown to me. I got phone calls and emails from this airline, western union the money then he needed another 550 for a new crate for the puppy. I did not do this and wanted my money returned and he said in 24 hours I would have it. I called the number and of course it was rejected same as the Laura number and that number was not Spokane it was milwaukee. I have the emails still. This was a shihpoo puppy. How do I forward the emails to this site? Thank you
