Thanks for the concern you have for our birds,that am giving out
for adoption , first i will like to tell you how happy i am that there
is some one out there that is very interested and happy to get these
birds a new home ,so there are many reasons why i am giving away this
beautiful Birds for adoption and the main reason is because of my Job
condition.And it's because i work from Monday to Saturday and my only
resting day is Sunday which i am quite busy with church Activities.So
there is no one home to care for them ,and the one who made me to get
these birds was my Husband but he passed away 2 weeks ago, and i go to
work every day and these birds are home all alone and that makes me
feel sad because they do not have all the love,care and attention that
they need So that is the reason why am giving away these birds for
adoption to any good and caring home that is willing to take care of
them .Also i will like to tell you more about the birds,

They are 8 moths old and They are all tamed and hand feed from day
one,very good talkers not screamers, sings, dances, whistles, bosses
dog around, makes messes & takes biddy naps.they feeds on
fruits,nuts,vegetables, people food, pellets & seed.They are adults
DNA tested proven the parrots.They are good with kids and other house
pets, they will give you all the funs and kisses you need from them
and they are now ready to go good and lovely homes.We are asking for
$250 for the re homing fee of our birds including transportation fee
to your home if you are not closer to us,they only go together as a

... I wasn't going to post pictures of the whole lengthy e-mail that I had received from the "pet carrier transport company" ... but I just realized I had just now stupidly deleted and emptied my trash folder of that e-mail before I could catch the name of the fake business.

But I remember them requesting money transfer via Western Union or money gram. Here is the information that they wanted me to send it to:

I'm sure alot of this information has already been posted on these boards... but I just wanted to share my story. There were alot of suspicions that were raised to me throughout the whole transaction process. Of course the selling of a free young and well socialized African Gray parrot with all the paperwork mentioned above was the most obvious one that I failed to recognized ... but there were a bunch of other things that just felt odd, such as the speed and ease at which the whole transaction process was unfolding (except the part where I did not receive a reply till the next morning in the text), how every stage of the transaction (receiving shipping rates from inquiries within minutes, shipping process and registering of the bird) happens so fast and conveniently for the next stage to finalize payment, based in North Dakota United States but payment (Western Union or money gram) to Cameroon Africa.

After seeing that the payment was somewhere in Africa from the mailing I got from the "shipping carrier", I just did a quick research on the name and keywords of the information I was given on the agent... the search led me to this website where low and behold I see similar cases and transactions happening.

I hope this helps anyone else from falling for these kinds of scams, and although I had my suspicions, this website still helped in solidifying and confirming my suspicions... thanks alot guys . But I'm sure that the scammers will also learn to adapt their ways... I thought that the pet shipping carrier e-mail was actually pretty well made, alot better than the e-mails I've gotten in the past from Nigeria regarding something about millions of dollars being kept in some account or something like that, I don't even remember but they were pretty amusing emails . Im all for charitability for sustaibable development for an impoverished country like Africa (which is something that comes to my mind when I hear it)... but this is not it.

This is what i received from the same people but for two puppies instead of parrots. The puppies has the same names of the birds and everything was the same. These people are still doing this, and unfortunately i didnt see this until after i made a $200 payment to them and now cant get my money back. Eveyone please be aware of these people. Their scam artists.
