Pet Scam [email protected]

My daughter in law recently had to have her kitten put to sleep. She has been searching for a new one and fell in love with some " free " british shorthair kittens that she found in an ad online. After making contact and finding out that the kitten was in Western Australia she decided to pay the $200 asked to fly the kitten to Melbourne. Since than she has received emails from: [email protected] who claim to be a company that the person with the cats has contacted to transport the kitten. They want $500 to transport the cat in a crate and promise the money to be refunded when the cat is delivered and they take their crate back. So far this kitten is becoming expensively free!!
I cannont find the company of world wide pet transport ltd anywhere online. They request the money be transferred by Western Union.

This registration was completed here with the number STL-55/LT/01 , has come with all necessary papers needed including the microchip Identification with the microchip number recorded on the Immunization certificates.

This kitten will come with all necessary papers needed,and all their Medication Papers are accurate ,The test Results shows that they are free from such diseases that may attack other Animals like (Dogs,birds And Cats).So this kitten is now ready for shipping and delivery .But it should be noted that this processes cannot be carried out unless an Electronic ventilated Crate has been reserved for the kitten

This is a problem with the Custom services here in WEST AUSTRALIA KARRATHA and in many other European countries.Your kitten is among the smallest animals in the flight, so the custom services have ordered for ELECTRONIC VENTILATED CRATE for all animals younger than 5 months because there are too many old age animals in the flight that can cause certain risks to the younger ones.

Secondly, the pet baggage is not too conducive for the transportation of such a little animals in a normal crate (CAGE)

The custom service here have refused to allow the younger animals to travel without an Electronic Crate considering the present climate condition in Europe. all Owners have been contacted to rent electronic cages for their animals before they can take any flight to their destination. The cages that are available in this airport are for rent . You will therefore have to rent one cage for your kitten to be transported safely to home. YES WE DO HAVE A MALE BRITISH SHORT HAIR KITTEN TO BE DELIVERED TO HER BUT WHAT IS LACKING IS AND ELECTRONIC CRATE WHICH SHE IS AWARE AND SHE CALL US THAT SHE WILL BE MAKING PAYMENT FOR THE CRATE ON MONDAY BUT WE CAN ASSURE YOU THAT SHE WILL GET KITTEN ON MONDAY AFTER WE CONFIRM PAYMENT FOR THE RENTAGE OF THE ELECTRONIC CRATE THEN WE WILL PUT IN HER KITTEN BEFORE PUTTING THE KITTEN ON FLIGHT TO MELBOURNE

My daughter in law is very sad as it is, now she has been scammed of 200 but at least we saved a larger amount. Thanks for any help possible. this has been reported to the Australian Crimes Commission.

Just wanted to add, since 4.30am when they began emailing me, my daughter in law has had 5 missed calls from them.

Yes.It is the usual pet scam. Any matter involving A WU transfer or Moneygram is a scam. If you Google search the pictures you have been sent or seen I can guarantee they are somewhere on the Internet and offered for giveaway trans globally. Do not contact them again. Be quick and get in Touch with WU on line and see if the money has been drawn out and try to cancel it . You could be lucky although that is a tiny chance . Longer than an hour or two since scammer knew, then it has gone I am afraid.

Im sorry to say that I think my boyfriend has just be scammed out of $650 by the same people 'Anita Godoy'

But this time they are using the name Pets Express Services and the contact number is +61731504005

Same again, using Western Union....Ive checking the tracking, and yep, dollars have already been collected.

Do we have any other options??

They are asking for another $1800 for vaccination/insurance purposes....obviously he wont be paying....but is there anything we can do???

I am sorry to hear that you lost money to these criminals. Once the money is picked up from Western Union it is gone forever.

Once the figure out that you are not going to pay the additional money they may threaten legal action to try and get you to pay more money. Just ignore the emails and or telephone calls and they will go away and look for another victim.

Please post the email where they requested additional money for insurance including all telephone numbers and email addresses used in this scam. This information will help others avoid this scam.

long story short, i got scammed from a man who has an accent probably from Africa (thats what it sounded like on the phone)
for sure signs to look out for:
-if the owner of the dog only calls, never texts
-if the deal seems too good to be true (pup with all shots, microchip, everything for $400)
- if they ask you to pay through WESTERN UNION
- if they want you to pay BEFORE the dog is shipped
- if they have some kind of sob story
-if you cant find the shipping company they are using online
- if they keep calling you about payment
-if they include a picture of themselves WITHOUT the dog (just literally a picture of 2 people posing in front of the camera with no sight of any dogs)
- if you ask to speak to the manager and they keep stalling

this happened to me this morning and this website saved my life. the turning point for me was when they gave me an address to send the money to then after they told me to send the money to another address. then when i tried looking up the company (because they claimed to be a well trusted international company that sells often) , it didnt exist and thats when THIS website popped up. one man was always picking up the phone and when i asked to speak to his manager, he kept making up excuses. not to mention, the "owner of the dog" and the "pet delivery service" people started sounding the same grammatically not to mention they both talked similarly ( said OKAY and BABY waaaaay too much; like legit after every other word). not to mention, the ladies who were working in western union were telling me 2 days ago, another lady got scammed and when they heard my almost exact dog story, they told me to completely stop the transaction and end the purchase right now. i have to give them the biggest shout outs for saving me.
