Bulldog scam out of Netherlands

Before I wired any money I had to research.

I was given an application from these people to adopt their bulldog puppy for FREE. They basically threw the bible in my face and said I had to be a God loving woman raise my children as christians in order to have their puppy. And after that they said they trusted me and wanted to send me their puppy but they had recently relocated to the Netherlands and would have to send thier pup to me I would also have to pay for a change in ownership form to be completed for $50.00. I got suspicious and started researching thats when I found this site so I was reading about what banks they are using so I wrote back and said, "what bank would I have to wire money into?'' they wrote back and said their secretary would pick up the money via MoneyGram at any walmart or CVS pharmacy. As soon as I wire the money I would recieve the flight information. What do I do from here? They are sitting idol waiting for me to send the money so how do I STOP this scammer?

Oh and they also send me about 9 pictures of the puppy including two family pictures of a man and a woman holding the puppy.

I am happy to hear that you discovered the scam before sending any money. Please post the email addres used in the scam and any websites used in the scam. This information will help others avoid this scammer.

We had the same people try to scam us as well. we did not send them any money, luckily we found this forum while researching this. here is the e mail address that they were using " [email protected] ", also here is the first email that we received from them

the rest of the emails that we recieved were exactly like the emails that you recieved. the only difference is the name of the people giviing the dog away and the name of the dog. Thanks again for posting this and a helping us save $50 dollars

Scroll to the bottom of mentioned page and similar text appears. It seems the same writing was used in early 2011. The scammer simply used a different name. Thanks for sharing the scammers new email address because it will alert others.

I can't believe this. I just received the EXACT same email thread, with the same dog name and even phone number. This is ridiculous, and use religion as well. People are heartless.

Welcome to the forums disappointed13. Yes you are correct because the scammers are only trying to fleece you. What must be remembered is there is no puppy involved here! Never was, there is not and never will be a real puppy. The whole exercise is to steal money from you. It is just another variation on a fraudulent scam.

I was looking for a puppy and found a post on a local website for one fairly close and inquired about their puppies. They said they were in Mexico on a missionary trip and their emails had the same layout and everything, even their signature. However this was for teacup yorkies. I did some googling and found this site. Email address used was [email protected]

I also came across this scam while replying to an ad in the classifieds. I did not send any money as they requested. I ceased contact, reported them to the FTC and the local classified paper. The current e-mail address being used is [email protected]
