Buyer Beware! As found on Kijiji.ca
I am currently corresponding with an individual who obviously is scamming people. You reply to an advertisement on http://www.kijiji.ca and the respondent drills you for personal information and divulges nothing. I have received at this time, over 20 emails with correspondence and instructions on where to send the money for puppies that obviously are not ever going to be sent to me. Found out that puppy scammers like to use Western Union money transfers.
They can go by various names and use any email address. The person I was dealing with called herself Linda Packer, said the pups are in Dawson City, Yukon (as if!) and states in her email below that the puppies are Canadian Kennel Club registered. [email protected] She/he has asked me to transfer funds to the following account, found at the bottom of this text. The photos supplied are taken/stolen from an equally suspicious site: http://www.jungpuppy.com or http://www.jungpuppyclub.com as well as a website that supplies stock photography of dogs.
Here's how it started after I replied to the ad on Kijiji the other day. This is the first reply to my inquiry about the pups they had listed for sale on Kijiji.ca[/color]

Sorry for all this Questions (we mean not to offend you) but just that
we really need a loving and caring home for this puppies.What makes us
willing to give out the puppies up for adoption this is so because my
present job schedule does not permit me to take care of the puppies,
so I want you to take a look, make selection before we proceed in
making arrangements for you to meet these babies and
probably take home one of them.We are not out to make money from them since they
where just like our own children and has been our perfect companion,
our main concern is to give them the best they ever want.. all we will
like to here from you is to Promise us that you would shower them with
lots of TLC .And we would never like that our babies should end up in
a shelter or rescue.., feel free to mail us. If you are willing to get
them, please e-mail ASAP so that we shall stop all other contacts .If
you have any more questions to ask we will answer you truthfully and
faithfully...

Here's the money transfer info. This individual has also provided a phone number of (616)920-0190. If you do a search on this phone number in google, it comes up with a whole bunch of kijiji ads ranging from parrots in Toronto, horses in London, puppies in Red Deer, and hits for various animals all across Canada. This phone number is also attached to a fake medical website: http://drjohnmedicalcenter.yolasite.com
You can apparently buy methadone, green crack, and bath salts amongst other items here. This is amazing!
Money transfer info:
"Ok very good, all you need to do now is copy down the payment address
below on a piece of paper go the the nearest western union store and
make the transfer there now so i can get the puppy send over to you,
below is the payment address which you will be using to make payment

The most recent email received on November 29/13, the individual stated these lies:
"It will be better you proceed with payment and once you are done,
i will send you the actual pictures along side with Video of the puppies
also the health certificate of the puppies ok,very soon all western
union stores will be close so proceed and once you are back am going
to send you all details i promise"
Unreal. I can't believe that these people have no morals or care so little about how they will steal money from innocent people. I actually wrote to "Linda Packer" saying that I had been saving for years to buy puppies, working three jobs to do so until I got ill". There was no response to this - no compassion nor any personal integrity, just further emails encouraging me to go and transfer the money, and transfer it now. I have written to Kijiji about this, but the ads still appear to be popping up all across the country. I have no intention to ever sending money to a stranger, let alone one that will not give me the details I asked for about the pups. As mentioned, this is a 100% Scam - no puppy, or bengal kitten, or horse, or any pet will be coming from a seller like this. I thought this was illegal in Canada, but I am sure just as I have read in this forum, that more people could be taken advantage of. I just asked about shipping dates in the last email to this scammer and I was told that if I send the money today, I will get the puppies tomorrow at 6:00pm. What a joke! There are no flights leaving Dawson City to my city tomorrow at all. And the person doesn't even know where I live to begin with. It keeps on getting better and better. The lies!!
