I was looking around online for teacup pomeranian puppies and found a "breeder" selling them for $600 includes shipping from atlanta, georgia... a few days later, i get a call from the Unique Pet Delivery service, saying i need to make a deposit for $1500 for insurance while the puppies are on the plane. they say it completely refundable. i send it and they call again saying the puppies are in need of vaccinations so it will be another $600 and then they need quarantine papers cause they were too young to fly, another $1,050... they were based in Belgium, seem extremely legit. do not fall for it. they used the email [email protected] phone numbers: +32 466 41 26 58

I've been looking for a pomeranian pup and I came across this one "seller" that seems like a big scam. (There seem to be a lot of puppy sale scams!) I was searching for ads in Texas and I texted this number despite it not being a Texas number. (770) 666-0113 A couple days later I got a text asking me to email [email protected] for information on Teacup Pomeranian Puppies. I had a feeling it was scamola but sent an email just to see what would happen. I got the following response with a bunch of stock pom pics. It reeks of scam.

They also have a very good temperament with kids including other pets, they love to play with toys, they have all their papers including their health records and manual their lifestyle and type of nutrition. They are called FURBY, SHADOW, SHORTY (3 males) COOKIE,CRYSTAL,DOLLY, GLITTER, SUZZIE, TASHA, TIPPY`S, WHISPER ( 8 females) .. Unfortunately I can not keep my baby puppies due to work schedule.
I live in Atlanta, Ga . If I had a way to keep them, I will. They are very strong, but I have no choice but to put up for adoption to another person in good faith. The money is not really my goal by putting them up for adoption, I just want puppies get a new home.
And as I do not have time to be with these puppies and I would like to adopt my puppies in a person who has the time to keep them better. . It reeks of scam.

Mostly because it is one. The writing is African, and the script is typical scam script.

The phone number is VOIP (internet based) which is typical of scammers who are pretending to be in the US when they are no.

Atlanta is a big city. A breeder with 11 purebred teacup poms (and 11 is a ridiculous litter size for a pom--they typically have MUCH smaller litters) would have absolutely no problem finding locals to adopt the puppies (and they wouldn't have to give them away, they could sell them for a few hundred easily) without having to put them on a plane to some random stranger. There are also dozens of reputable rescue organizations within a few mile radius that would be able to help them if they were really stuck.

And you are correct in your observation that there seem to be a lot of scam puppy ads out there. The truth is, if you are looking at pet classifieds, the scams far outnumber the real offers these days.

(770) 666-0113 is a bandwidth.com VoIP number registered in Norcross Georgia , The scammers are located overseas with that phone modem . Probably in the Cameroon .

In our search for a pom puppy we've found more scams than actual puppies available. I would never purchase a puppy unless it could be done in person. We'll probably end up driving several hours to DFW to get one.

I tried to trace the IP address of the email I received but it comes up as private/unavailable.
