Adorable Corgi puppies were posted to Craigslist in October of 2014. When I contacted the poster, he claimed he has just come from the UK and brought 2 puppies with him, but had been transferred and now worked too many hours to be able to take care of them so he needed to quickly find a home for them. Some details that I asked him about didn't make sense, but I really wanted a puppy, so I let it pass. I gave him my e-mail address and he e-mailed a long note about how great the puppies were and how he wanted to find a good home for them. He said he would send them via a pet courier and was asking 180.00 each for shipping, but nothing for the dogs. I was to pay the courier. At that point I googled pet courier and found notices about these types of scams and recognized all the signs of my exchange with this man, e-mail [email protected] (name Eugene Smith). I then sent a message to him that I would come pick up the puppy if he sent his address. He repeated his offer to send a courier. Then I knew it was truly a scam. No Corgi for me!
