Dear Client,

We have a Male Husky puppy , received from Mr Alvin Shumpert in North Carolina to be transported to Naples FL and delivered to the receiver at the address below. Please verify your information to make sure every detail is accurate.

Receiver's Information:

Recipient: Removed (BW)
Delivery Address:xxxxx
Contact Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

We hereby confirm that we have received and registered your Yorkshire Terrier puppy for transportation and we are responsible for her safe delivery to you. However, we are sorry to inform you that we are facing some difficulties trying to ship your puppy to you.

We wish to bring to your knowledge that pets/animals below the age of 6 months without a legally issued insurance paperwork can not be transported on airplanes unless a refundable life insurance deposit fees is provided in the absence of the insurance paperwork to cover the shipment which in turns protects both the puppy and the receiver of the puppy throughout the shipping process. Pets that are categorized as tender puppies or in the tender age must possess a life insurance but in the case where the insurance paper is not available, a refundable deposit proportionate to the financial value of the animal is made to protect the receiver and the animal and until delivery is made, the deposit made for insurance will be refunded back to the receiver of the animal same time delivery is being carried out.

As per USDA guidelines on pet shipment, it is an absolute recommendation that a pet insurance MUST be available before the pet can board a plane across borders. USDA guidelines require that all animals to be boarded on the plane below the age of 6 months possess a life insurance that is protected with a policy throughout the plane movement from airport of origin until arrival at the destination airport or city.

You may not yet have thought about insuring your pet. Many people don't until they are faced with a vet's bill for an operation or series of operations. However, veterinary bills can run into hundreds or even thousands of dollars and without pet insurance, treating your pets can be extremely difficult.

Insuring your pet also protects you in case your pet is involved in an accident, go missing, get ill, stolen or involved in any unforeseen circumstance that may occur as we begin the transportation process. You will also be protected if you have to cancel a holiday because of a pet, or if your pet causes damage to someone else property.

WHY INSURE YOUR PET?

All pet insurance policies will vary, but it is important to insure your pet to protect yourself against unforeseen costs, and to ensure that your pet can receive the best care available to them if they need it.

Insuring your pet means that if your pet were to be involved in an accident or develops an illness, for which they need treatment or a series of expensive operations, you will have the time to worry about them rather than thinking of how to raise money for veterinary bills.

Once the refundable insurance fees is paid, you are protected against the following;

- Third Part Legal liability (covering you against costs caused to other people by your pet); Covers you in case your dog bites someone and tries to claim compensation from you (Dangerous Dogs Act)
- Kennels/boarding if you go into hospital; handy if you are an elderly person living on your own
- Holiday cancellation; if you have to cancel your holiday because your pet is ill or injured
- Advertising/reward if your animal goes missing
- Purchase price of pet if stolen; some pets aren't cheap and this would be much the same as buying insurance for an expensive gadget
- Animal behaviourist; offer cover to sort out your pet's behavioural problems
- Transport costs to and from vets
- Personal accident; if your pet bites you and it leads to you taking time off work leaving you out of pocket
- Advice and support if your pet passes away
- Cremation/burial of pet
- Accidental damage
- Help lines
- Pet minder finder service; help finding someone to look after your pet in the event of illness or if you are going on holiday
- Above all, it will cover any loses due to any unforeseen circumstances that may occur as we begin the shipping process until delivery is made.

However, due to a number of complains from most of our customers because of their unawareness of the cost involved in the life insurance policy of tender puppies, the Management reviewed the insurance terms and the policies were later modified such that your money (insurance deposit) is refunded upon the delivery of your puppy. This means that you would be getting back a full refund of the insurance deposit in CASH from the delivery agents who would deliver the puppy to you at your house once delivery time is confirmed.

The cost of puppy refundable insurance fees depends solely on the market financial value of the animal. Your puppy is estimated to worth market value of $3000 to $6000 so, the refundable insurance deposit to be paid for your puppy is $200. In this regard, you are required to make a refundable life insurance deposit of the sum of $200. After making payment for the insurance for your puppy, you should notify us so that we can register your puppy with our insurance service and then proceed with shipping out the puppy. After the refundable insurance payment is confirmed, the puppy would be scheduled for the next flight and all details on the flight would be sent to you by email. Issuing of insurance refunds will be in CASH.

Note: Provision of insurance funds should be effected once this notification is received in order to make sure your puppy is shipped on the next available flight and your refunds issued as well.

Once payment for insurance is sent, your puppy would be scheduled for shipment and details on the flight and delivery time at your house would be emailed to you. You should also note that your refund would be issued at the same time the puppy is handed to you by the delivery agents who would be carrying out delivery.

Thanks For Your Generosity

Best Regards
Customer Support

Do not send anymore money. It is a scam.

Stop all contact with the scammer. Please post the email address of the fake seller and some of his emails.

The scammer may contact with threats that you have abandoned the pet. Do not worry he has no pet to give away or sell. He is only after your money.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Just to be clear,
This is a scam, the puppy does not exist, the shipping company does not exist and everything they told in the emails was a lie to steal your money.
Please stop all communication with these criminals by ignoring all emails and telephone calls.

Refundable pet insurance does not exist and this is just another big lie to steal more money from you.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

So a husky puppy was on Craigslist. I was interested and texted the number. The Ad is now gone so you can't search it on craiglist and basically what happened I agreed to this guy to adopt the puppy. He said I could pay the adoption fee a week after I receive the puppy but he did need the money to go to the airport which was transporting my puppy to my city so he said to wire money through money gram and I did $150 so once he said the reservation was made he asked if I got any calls or emails and I said I recieved an email from the "airport" place that they needed $200 for insurance for the puppy to be allowed to be shipped ([email protected] was the email that emailed me stating this) so then I asked the person who was selling me the dog why didn't he tell me he said its his fault and now the dog is free but to respond to them and tell them how I should pay the insurance fee So I emailed the [email protected] back and they responded saying I should talk to the seller for him to go pay them at their customer service and I texted the seller again he said okay use western union this time to send me $200 and I'll go pay it so the puppy can be sent. I am not going to send anymore money because I suspect it's a spam. The only information I have on him was what I used to send money to him through money gram here's all the information I have on him I texted him and called him through the number : 704-897-7717 the name he gave me to send the money gram under was Joseph Mussengga the adress he gave me was 5152 Oaks Drive Charlotte North Carolina the "airport that was shipping my dogs website is http://www.cwcarriers.com he gave me a tracking number to check for my puppies status which is NC98767786FL . I thought it was real and I told him that if I get the puppy I'll pay all the expenses that are being added and he said the airport is insisting we pay the insurance for him to come and I said I won't that if he can pay for it and I'll pay him an extra $80. Even though all this is a scam

If this is a different scam than the other one, thanks for reporting the phone #. Do you have an email address to report as well for this scammer?

I can not stress enough, never buy (spend money on) an animal you have not interacted with in person. Ask yourself this, "is a good deal worth an animal that might not like me or my family??"
