Been to Australia, Seychelles, Italy, France and I narrowly missed out on New York. I'm originally from South Africa and most of families still live here in Cape Town. I have an aunt in New Zealand too . I love sports, a very enthusiastic cricket fan and what's more I enjoy meeting people.

Am o.k with the price of the room and i would make a month payment of (£280) and the bond will be paid upon my arrival if its require before i move into the room, you will have to wait for me to have my update our account officer with the price of the room in order for my first month rent to be issue out to you cause my company would be responsible for my trip including my accommodation throughout my stay and i will be staying for 6 month.

Yes, this is a definite scam. The scammer wants to send you a check for more than the rent, with instructions for you to cash it, keep the rent money, and forward the extra money somewhere. The problem is, the check is fake, and though the bank may not recognize it immediately, they will eventually discover it, and will then come after you for cashing it.

Thanks for your payment details, I have forwarded your details to my Account Department for approval and be 100% assure the room has been taken by me and the advance payment will be made out to you by cheque immediately its approved.

The cheque would be issue in your favor and send to your provided address on Monday Morning once its approved. I should know my exact date of arrival by time the cheque is approve cause my travel expenses will be

approved with my rent.

I will email you immediately the cheque is on the way and you can watch out for in your postbox but less i forget am just coming to spend my beautiful holiday as i won't be working at all.

I have had this sent to me recently I emailed the company she was supposed to be involved with and they have no knowledge of her and the email address she was using had a similar name to a real company. The scammer had only recently set up a bogus server using the company's name but with dashes in between the words. I only sent one email to her to see if it was real but the email I received made me take action and I glad I have now found this site so I can keep in touch with the latest scams going down. The company she is using the name of is not impressed either and sent me to this site.

Hi hatescammer, I am not sure what you think the police could do in this situation. If you have been scammed out of money, yes, report it to the police. Scammers typically are not in the country they scam to, so there the various laws and jurisdictions have different rules.

Most likely, the police would say do not contact this person, delete emals and move on. The scammer uses information that is not his and uses phone numbers that redirect to their location, so a number that looks like it is from the UK, is actually forwarded to any place in the world.

The police typically do not prevent crime, they investigate once a crime has been committed. To investigate, they need evidence that will help them build a case.

How are you doing at the moment!Am sorry for my late reply i was a bit busy on my assignment to inspects some materials on site

I'm happy to inform you that the cheque has been approved and sent to your provided address this morning, I have received a notification from my Account Officer.

In addition, my Account Officer stated the Postal Service attendant said it will takes about ( 7-8 Working Days ) for the envelop to be deliver to you but you can start charging my rent before my arrival if you wish, just let me know the date you wish to start

I will implore you to please be patient and keep a closer look into your post box daily for the envelop cause she said you might receive the envelop earlier than the time stated. Expect my flight details as soon as i book my ticket in order for you to know my arrival date & time and you can pick me up at airport if you're free.

well i have recieved this email too December 2nd 2010 ..and i must say when you look at it alongside other room rental enquiries it is on the lines of too good to be true ..the first thing that arrived with me was a text asking me to send a mail to her .......after a few days i had no other reply except this wonderful open letter and quite personal sounding. i googled the company ...and this scam site came up ..i was lucky to find it other wise i would have waited ...i must say i had said the cheque would not be any good to me, sent from south africa was more than i could get my head round!...so interested to hear that the process is long. sorry to hear Kerry is not real ..she sounded so nice . the thing about going on holiday for a while is genius ! damn.
i am a bit concerned that i disclosed information about our house share ...still i guess these type of people are not interested in details ...

one big thing that was odd ....the name of the town where your rental is, is never mentioned !!!!!

oh my god , i got this exact mail today. like an idiot i mailed back with a photo of me . will that be a problem ?? i have also sent my phone number and address. then this sounded very suspicious so i started googling the company name , lucky me i got this site. saved me .
