Subject: Re: transaction started

I was in contact with HomesOverseas today trying to find a win-win situation so you can feel comfortable also. The company told me that they need to have a proof that you have this 1125CAD available and they will not release it.
So here is what I think you can do. Please make the payment via MoneyGram to one of your friends, relative or someone that you fully trust (i.e. a trusted friend, family member, girlfriend.). On the receivers name just put your trustful person name and country that will be sent will be United Kingdom. No one can take the money just the person that you trust. Why you need to send it to United Kingdom?? Because the company is located in United Kingdom and the transaction was started from here. I think this way you are 100% safe and HomesOverseas agreed with this method. This is the best I can do and hopefully you can complete the transaction now.
If you will complete the transaction today the package will be delivered tomorrow morning your time.
I really respect your money because I was forced to work very hard for my career. I'm very serious about this and I'm really glad that I can rent the apartment to you.
I really understand that you need to think about it but don't worry about the funds. I promise that you will be full refunded by HomesOverseas in the same day you will sign the lease agreement. I know sometime is hard to take a decision but please complete the transaction because this is the right decision and you will never regret it. I can assure you of that.
Also the payment it will be sent to your trusted person. No one can release the funds. The company just wants to see the proof that you have 1300CAD available for safety deposit if something happens. I'm sure everything will be in order at the apartment but this is the procedure. I will make you a 25% discount for the next 6 months as soon as I will get off work.
Look forward hearing from you!

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
