Hello,

Thanks for your interest in my beautiful home for rent on craigslist,we just moved down to ONTARIO with my family for about a month now and will be staying here while my wife work as a personal Assistant to a lawyer here as well.We love it here and hope to settle down here in the nearest future.we came here to the ONTARIO with the keys and documents of the property because we never intended to rent out the property, but we thought about our property being unused will cause lots of damage to it,so we decided to rent it out to someone capable of taking care of it while we are away. All we care about is someone to take very good care of it with passion of it being it's own and I want to be convinced you are capable enough of taking care of our property for us so we want it maintained,i want you to get back to me on how you will be taking care of the place or perhaps the experience you have in your previous places of living or lived also all utilities are included like Fridge, Stove/Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer, Conditioner Installed,(Utilities included in the Rent),Gas (Heat), Hydro (Electricity), City Services (water & related charges), Wireless Internet, Telephone, Television (cable)

Address : 852 Martin Ave Kelowna, BC V1Y 6V3, Canada
Bedrooms:2
Bathrooms:1
Rent: $1300 & Damage Deposit:$500

So if still interested i will want you to take a drive by the place and if you will want to stay in the plac,do get back at me so we can discuss about you filling the rental form then we can discuss better about you getting the lease and getting the keys..

Thanks

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
