I got this email as a reply to a gumtree ad looking for flats to rent. I guess it must be a scam because the rent is way too low for the area and she doesn't provide a phone number or mention viewing the property. She attached some photos to the email, looks like a luxury apartment, and a photo of a smiling woman which is supposed to be her.

How are you? I saw your advert on GUMTREE that you need accommodation in Brighton. I have two rooms to rent out in my flat. The flat's gorgeous - well decorated, excellently maintained, and it has good-sized (12 x 15ft)The apartment is three bedroom flat and i will like to rent out two rooms. Am the only one staying in the flat now that is why i needed someone to share the flat with. The apartments is situated at 12 Sheffield Court, Brighton , East Sussex, BN1 4HA. The apartment is part of a new development located in the heart of the popular North Laine area of Brighton, just down from the main railway station and in walkable distance to all areas of the city. There are several City Car Club bays closeby and excellent bus links. The North Laine boasts some of the best dining in the City along with many popular theatres and clubs closeby. The main Churchill Square shopping mall is just a short walk away. I've attached to the mail more pictures of the flat and i hope you will like it? Rent is very reasonable at only £330per month Including Utility bills and £350 refundable security deposit for the apartment.

The bedrooms is fully furnished..it"s also have a private bathroom,a deck,bedspread,and also in the sitting room their is a plasma TV, wireless high-speed broadband,fully fitted kitchen,central heating, tasteful bespoke lighting,washing with dryer machine, microwave oven and a parking space.

Definitely a scam, and an all-too common one at that. I'm glad you recognized it as a scam before becoming a victim. Hopefully your post will help other potential victims when they find that scammer's cut-and-paste script in a search engine leading to here.

Street, Dublin 2, Dublin City Centre.

The apartment is ideally Location is close to Pearse and Tara Dart
Station, around 2 min walk each, Spar around the corner, 80 metres
from Liffey at Sean O'Casey Bridge - directly opposite CHQ building
and IFSC, couple of convenient stores (centre, etc.) around, 5 min to
Connolly Dart station, 5 min to Temple Bar and Trinity college - Super
proximity to everything really. A room is only 350euro per month
including all utility bills and there is going to be a refundable
security deposit of 380euro for the apartment. See the attached
