Rental Scammer - [email protected]

I posted a rental ads at gumtree and I received Maria Ellis reply from [email protected]

After exchanging a few emails, I provided my bank details but started to feel something not right. With Google search I get in touch with this scam warned web site. Straight away I emailed Maria Ellis that I do not want to proceed.

After 1 day silence, she came back. Now she said payment were made and bank deducted etc.


How do I get her to go away? Do I need to close the bank account? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Ignore the scammer and block him. Eventually he will go away. If you respond to any message he sends he thinks he still has a chance to steal your money.

Please post a couple of his initial emails to you.
