Hello,

The apartment is still available. My name is Kelvin Willson and i'm the owner of this apartment .
Let me tell you a few things about my home:

As you can see from the pictures, my apartment is furnished and equipped ( fully) .

The lease is flexible, can be month to month (min stay 1 month - max 5/6 years) . The bus station is very close (200 m ).
One parking spot is reserved for my apartment . The monthly rent is 11000 $hkd (electricity, internet,TV Cable and maintenance included).
You must pay for the water bills only. The security deposit(damage assurance) is also 11000 $hkd (You will get it back when you will decide to leave the apartment ) .

If you have other questions don't hesitate to ask me .

I forgot to give you some info about me : I'm a project manager in civil engineering ,from London United Kingdom( I'm located here), I have 45 years old, married, with 2 children. I bought this apartment when I worked in Hong Kong as part of a 4 year contract, thinking it would be a better investment than taking in rent.

Unfortunately, my job doesn’t allow me to do any travel for the next few months, so I will not be able to come and meet you personally for a while.
I can make the arrangements to show you the apartment from London (on my expense of course). However, I hope this issue won’t affect the viewing process.

Anyway , I hope the email wasn’t too long . I wanted to give you all the info about my home .

Thank you,

Hello ,

As i told you before , i found an agency who will handle everything (UPS Lettings Property) .
I went into the UPS Lettings Property office and an agent explained me how they will assist us in this kind of situation.

This are the viewing steps :

- To start the process all I need is your information (Name and delivery address) .
- I will go to the UPS Lettings Property office to drop off the keys and documents of the house. UPS Lettings Property will make a detailed inspection of the property's documents in order to certify the ownership. If the ownership is confirmed, UPS Lettings Property will accept the initiated transaction. However, if ownership is not confirmed, they will decline the initiated transaction and they will notify you to stop everything.
- UPS Lettings Property will send you the invoice agreement(via e-mail) where you will have all the details about our mutual agreement + payment information .
- After you will receive the invoice, you’ll have to transfer the payment (One month of rent + the security deposit) to UPS Lettings Property, according to the instructions from the invoice. This will be a guarantee that our agreement is mutual and legal. The deposit will be just a formality, and it will not commit you to rent my apartment.

The payment will remain in the custody of UPS Lettings Property until you will check the apartment and move in .After you will pay the deposit,UPS Lettings Property will send an agent to your registered address (in the next 24-48 hours) to meet you for delivery . Also the UPS Lettings Property agent who will make the delivery will also help you to inspect my apartment .
– If you will be like my apartment, you will sign the contract and you will be able to move in when you desire . If ,for any reason, you will not be satisfied with my property, the UPS Lettings Property agent will return your payment . The refund will be made in cash, on the spot immediately.

I will pay for the services of the agency, so there will be no extra costs for you. If you desire, I can send you a photo of my passport and few pics of me .

I will wait your decision .

Thank you

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
