Room for Rent and other rental scams

cant completely confirm this one but its written very similarly to the [email protected] scam messages i got last night.. but the biggest give away in my opinion is the jobs.. why the heck would you move to bo-donk hickville in the middle of no where Washington with those jobs..

* Utility Bills
*Moving date
*E.t.c

I will be anxiously waiting for your email ,I want you to know that i really need the room now and i am the serious type paying rent ,when emailing me please tell me more about the place and more pics if you have...I am open to any type of lease..

Thank you for posting this one. I can tell you from the English that this was not written by a Canadian. The word choice and errors are distinctly African.

But even though I know for certain it is a scam, I still like to confirm with some evidence, easy enough to do in this case. Check out these google results here:

This is a perfect example of why posting the letters helps--the scammer may change names, addresses, professions, etc. but continue to use the same script. Often you can google one or more unique phrases in the scripts (use quotation marks to find an exact match), and find the evidence that way. The phrase I googled contains unique errors. I should not get any matches. Instead, I get 5 pages of matches, all to scams with almost identical scripts (including some others posted here at Scamwarners)!
