Hello,

Thank you for your interest.

My name is Letitia Turonni and I see that you are looking for an apartment to rent.

I own an apartment located in: 34-36 Clarges St, Mayfair, London W1J 7EJ, UK that I think it would suit you perfectly. It has: 3 bedroom, 1 living room, 2 bathroom, 1 kitchen. 120 m2

I received this apartment long time ago from my grandmother after she passed away and I'm renting it since then because I don't have any business there.

Before we go any further I would like to know a little something about you, like how many persons you intend to live in the apartment, and for how long.

The flat is exactly like in the pictures, furnished and renovated. The utilities are included in the price of rent, you will have one parking spot , the rent ( with all utilities ) is 510 GBP / month . The guarantee deposit is 1020 GBP, and you get it back, when you decide to leave the apartment (you will have to give me at least 20 days notice).

I am renting the apartment for unlimited time. Now, a little bit about myself so we can get to know each other better.

I'm a 56 years old, company manager of Recalcati Multimedia from Rome/Italy, planning to retire in the next 2 years. I have a lovely husband, Franco and a 25 year old daughter, Giulia. I am very proud to say that soon I'm going to be a grandmother. The only inconvenience is that my job doesn't allow me to leave Rome even for one single day. We just hired some new staff and I'm in charge of their training. But this won't affect you at all. I can make all arrangements to rent the apartment from Rome (on my expense of course) as I found a company which is specialized in these kind of deals.

Kind Regards,
Letitia

Thanks for your reply.

As I told you I am in Rome, Italy and the thing is that I am the only person who has the keys, but I have a safe solution for that.
The apartment is vacant, you just need to receive the keys and the contract to check it, and see if you can accept it. Of course we will need some way to go through this agreement, to allow us ensure that we get what we are expecting. For in it, I have discovered how we could finish the deal securely and quickly, and in this way, you will receive the keys in 2 days, if you move quickly as well. A rental third party service called JWD PROPERTIES, offers this solution and will handle both payment and delivery of the keys.
They handle rentals for people who can't leave their jobs to show their apartments in person..
Regarding the furniture we can find a solution to take our my furniture and install yours.

So, here is how it goes:
I start over the process with JWD PROPERTIES here in Italy and I leave the keys and a copy of the contract at JWD PROPERTIES. Then they'll e-mail you all the information you need to continue the transaction at your end. As per the JWD PROPERTIES instructions you will have to make a money transfer to their bank account for the first month of rent plus security deposit (510GBP plus 1020 GBP so a total of 1530 GBP ). After the payment is complete they will deliver the keys and contract to you within 2-3 days.
After you receive the package, you will have 14 days to decide if you keep the apartment or not, if everything is in order JWD PROPERTIES will release the funds to me or in case that you are not satisfied about the apartment condition, they will return your money, but I'm sure that after you inspect the apartment you will keep it because is in very good conditions.
It's clear and simple. All I want is to both be safe.

To start this transaction, I will need your full name, your shipping address and your phone, as well as the date you can pay the rent each month so I can go to the company to sign the contract, forward you details and deposit the keys. I will pay for the services performed by the agency, so there will be no additional cost for you..

Here is the website of the company: www.jwdproperties.com

Thank you,
Letitia

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
