I have been going back and forth with this one as I suspected it a scam after the second reply. Funnily, although all the emails to me were from [email protected], I noticed that the gumtree response had the following email left in one of the emails. [email protected]
I've searched through my emails and this guy has responded to a number of different adds in and around the shoreditch area.
I ALSO SPOKE TO HIM AND HIS SO CALLED LAWYER

10 minute walk to Liverpool Street station, less to Old Street. Most areas of the City within a half hour walk. Secure building set off a non-major road, seconds from the centre of Shoreditch and Hoxton and Tesco Express.

Thanks for the mail,i really understand your split ,and the landlord association request for this all cos there are many poeple out there that are wasting someone time and wen will take them for viewing some will get there and they don't have the money and they will be there and stolen so since then the association said that anybody that is ready to secure a flat should have a transfer proof and they do not ask you to send it to me or my lawyer they just ask you to send it in your name and you friend name,we are very sorry for the inconvenience it is the bad that has spoil the good one,but this is not the association fault they start doing it this way all cos of those are not serious and those that are wasting the association precious time and will just want you to proof to use not that you make a transfer on anyone of us name just to proof that you are capable to secure my flat and when you want to make the transfer you make the transfer it as below
This is how you gonna make the transfer done this way:
Sender's Name : Your friend or any of your relative name
Reciver's Name : Your name
Address : Your home address.
I do not ask you to send me or my lawyer any money just for you to proof to us that you are not a time waster.
and when you done that and you provide it to me and i will forward it to my lawyer to see and confirm it if the money is there so that will proof to us that you are serious and will can give you a time for the viewing so that when will get there and both me and you and my lawyer will go to the nearest western union office and get the money retrieve and pay me in cash and if you do not like it you go with your money and get another flat....i want you to know that i will be responsible for the western union charges and am going to refund you that as soon as you come for the viewing first thing to do,and if you like you can call me on my phone and let talk this out and here is my mobile number:07024033774.
Moreover i want you to know that the flat per week is 150 pounds and per calender is 600pounds and you make the security deposit 600 pounds which is going to be refundable back to you in a week you moving in my flat so let me know if you want me to secure my flat for you and get back to me with the question i asked you on my previous message sent to you.......i will be happy to read from you as soon as possible.

7. I hope you are not among the time waister's?
