Subject: Re: 7825 bayview ave
Hello,
The apartment at 7825 Bayview Ave, Markham, ON L3T 7N2, Canada is still available. My name is Robert Dunal, I'm a graphic designer and the company I work for has developed a project in London, United Kingdom that will take 6 years minimum. Therefore the apartment will be available for renting for the next 6 years. I bought the apartment 5 months ago while I was in Canada working for another project that unfortunately it was canceled. Initially I tried to sell the place but I didn't get the price I want it so I decided along with my family that we should rent it as long as I'm away. The apartment is vacant since I no longer live there so you can move-in anytime you want. Everything is just like in the pictures, it's fully furnished, fully equipped. Of course if you want, you can use your furniture and I will ask the movers to remove mine and deposit it in the storage unit located near the building. Pets are allowed.
The monthly rent for the whole unit is 830CAD with everything included (utilities, cable and internet-full package, 2 parking spots underground, strata fees, storage unit, laundry in-suite washer and dryer). The price of the rent will not increase for the whole period that you will stay there. I would like to know how many people will live in the apartment and also which rental contract do you prefer- 6 months or 1 year rental contract with option of renewal. I will be away for the next 6 years and as you can see I'm not asking so much for it because I want to find a responsible tenant to take good care of the place. I'm not looking to make a business or a profit with the apartment. I have a Canadian Bank account for the monthly payments, or we can use any other payment method that is suitable for you.
I'm 50 years old, I'm married, we have a beautiful 10 years old daughter. My family means everything to me, they come first in everything I do. I worked hard to have a good career therefore I want to rent the place on my own so I need to know if you are really interested in the apartment.
Sincerely,
Robert
This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
