[email protected] just stole $450 from my daughter. IRS must get involved, FBI - interstate crime, Postal Office crime dept, also must be some laws about Internet crimes within the USA. Jail times must be increased, so we should tell to our Congressmen and Representatives to pass increased jail sentences. Hackers can be hired to find real names and addresses of the crooks and they should be published on a "WANTED LIST" including their photos. Craigs list and other hosts must be forced to disclosed the names of the crooks or to be charged as an accomplices. In Russia they break fingers on both hands of the crook for such crimes.

Hi Stanley2 and welcome here. I'm sorry that your daughter was scammed. I can certainly understand your frustration with this. I really wish law enforcement was doing more to focus on internet crimes, it's rampant. They do struggle with a lot of logistics issues in pursuing these scammers, though, not the least of which is that the scammers operate behind the anonymity of the internet and are often in countries beyond the jurisdiction of the US/Uk, with no cooperation from the local law enforcement.

Do report the crime to your local police. It's not likely they will be able to do anything but the more these crimes are reported, the more attention they will get from government as a serious problem that needs dealing with.

Please post more information about this scammer. We'd like the address and name included with a scam email for evidence of the scam and so that it will show up in searches and hopefully save others.
