Hello ,
I am the owner of the apartment and I received an inheritance from my grandfather. I live in United Kingdom-London, surgeon doctor at a clinic are very appreciated during my recovery is very busy with my patients. For these reasons I want to do procedures using the rental agency Airbnb. The rent is $600 a month plus $600 security apartment. All fees will be paid by me and you do not have to pay anything extra . You can stay in the apartment as much as desired for me is no problem.

For more information and to start renting wait for your answer. At the end of the contract you will receive $600 back, if there was no damage.

Thank you very much for your understanding.
Have a good Day!!!

Subject: Re: Rent apartment studio, 1 bath, 538 sqft in 1900 N Adams St, Arlington, VA 22201

Hi,

Like I have informed you before, the apartment is currently free, I accept short term 3 to 4 months and long term disposal from 5-6 years or more this depends on your decision. You can use my furniture, or you can also use your own if you prefer. If you decide to use yours, you can store my furniture in the large basement cellar. The price for 1 month of rent will be $ 600 with all the bills included in it, and I also need a guarantee deposit of $ 600 (that you'll get back when you move out). Now I'm living in United Kingdom-London, but this will not influence at all the rental as I am willing to send you the keys so you can visit it and see it if you like it. You will have 2 days available to inspect the the apartment before rent it. The delivery of the keys and viewing permit (signed by me), will be made through Airbnb.com to make sure that we can trust each other. If you want to know more about the rental process please get back to me and I will send you the step by step procedure. A quick response would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Lori Powell

Hello again,

First of all, I want to tell you that if you are ready to proceed with this transaction I will need to inform you the steps about how this service works.
You will have 2 days to inspect the apartment before your final decision to rent . I will pay the shipping costs.
This is how they work :
1.I will make the delivery papers at Airbnb.
2.After I will make the papers for delivery they will require for your payment confirmation of the first month and the guarantee deposit ($ 600 + $ 600) to the company .Airbnb will send you a delivery notification to let you know they have the Keys and the papers in their custody .
Also Airbnb will give you further instructions about the money deposit .
3.After the payment is confirmed the delivery process will start and when you will receive the keys, you will have 2 days inspection period before your final decision to rent .
4.If all is in order, you will instruct Airbnb to give me the money. Further rents will be sent directly to my bank account.
5.If you refuse to rent the apt , Airbnb will give you a full refund ($ 1,200) and you will give them back the keys and the contract.

If you are interested to rent the apartment please send me your information, so i can make the deal:

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
