Thanks for your mail, all facilities are including in the flat i cannot disclose the full address now for security purpose but is located at Athelstan Road, Hampshire, Southampton.But before i can come down there with your boss to view the flat i have to verify your financier ability that you are capable to rent my flat and you really have the money with you.what i will ask you to do is that you will just transfer 1 month rent which is £480 and the security deposit which £500 via western union to your friend's name and send me the receipt from western union so i can forward it to my lawyer to verify that the money is available in your friend's custody.This is done due to my past bitter experience of inviting people to come and view my flat without any form of confirmation of their financial ability and not keeping up to time as at when scheduled and has brought about very great loss to me.so if you can get the transfer done as soon as possible and you send me the receipt from western union and my lawyer confirm it that the money is still available for pick up in friend's name i will give you a call or email you to tell your receiver to pick the money up and then i can come down there for the viewing because am presently in London to show some client a flat.Get back to me as soon as possible when you will be making the transfer so i can know maybe i should reserve the flat instead of anther client because i can see you are really interested in my flat.
The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send money (again via Western Union) in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam.
