Hello Con Warner,
Kindly accept apology for my late response to your email. I have been busy alot lately. I think i should briefly tell you about who i really am and a little about the apartmentin question.

To start with, it is necessary to know something about me which is more important in any rental. My name is Alex, 30yrs. I'm currently on my masters degree and work part time. I have been living in the apartment alone for a couple of months, until now that i had to come down to England in pursuit for a research for my masters programme which might make me stay for 6 to 18 months here. I have decided to post my apartment for rent so i earn myself some additional income instead of being locked till i finish my research.

I've traveled alot around the world, so far more than 18 countries, working, learning culture and on tourist mission sometime. Been to different countries in the Europe, Middle east, some part of Africa and many parts of North and South America.

Regarding the Apartment:
The Apartment is a spacious 1 bedroom apartment with all basic finishes to suit my taste. I own everything in the apartment as i rented it empty, and sue you can make use of them if you'd be interested in renting it.

The Apartment is well furnished to my taste, large living room, kitchen utensils looks new, refrigirator, sound system, TV connected to cable, wifi, air condition available, gas cooker and micro-wave also available in the kitchen. There is also a big sizable bed, wardrobe and a table for reading or PC usage purpose in the bedroom.

Monthly rental fee: 500EURO utilities included
Weekly rental: 165EURO utilities included
A refundable security deposit of 600EURO

Please Note:
1. The security deposit is refundable upon verification of the apartment which you rented to be in good order. Both payment (first month rent plus security deposit) is to be made in advance upon move in date (so i can make necessary arrangement for your move in)

2. Both long and short term contract is available i.e. weekly, month-month rental is welcome. Normally, initial 1 to 3 months rents is preferable for long term basis thereafter you can renew the contract before the expiry of the previous one.

Like i said in the beginning of my introduction, i will only be interested in person(s) will be neat and take care of the apartment just as if its theirs... I'm sure you understand where i am arriving at!

It will be my pleasure to know some basic things about you if you would like to proceed with this rental procedure, i can afterward email you current pictures of the Apartment, its bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and how to proceed with the tenement contract which is another important stage.

Regards
Alex

I am so glad reading back from you confirming your intersted in my apartment, I think we should proceed at this stage.

Location
My apartment is located in the city center, not far from rail and bus station. Like you know its located in the part of the city that linked to many parts and close to the restaurants, supermarkets, hotels, museum, parks etcetera on the street. You can search my house using Google maps at http://maps.google.com/ and put in my address to get the exact location.

To prepare the contract, please get back to me with the requested details below:

Terms
1. You need to read and understand the tenement agreement form that will guarantee you that the apartment has been reserve for you.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union payment to a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
