Hello
Thanks for the mail.Am so happy to read back from you that you are interested in renting out my apartment, but presently am not available in Amsterdam for now as am presently in United Kingdom now to complete my work with my company and am here with my family and my keys.My apartment is well furnished and well decorated with alot of facility such as:: Wireless internet facilities, Phone, TV,Microwave, Dish washer, washing machine, Dryer, Refrigerator, Bathroom, Toilet, Bedroom, kitchen, utility room and the bills is included in the rent amount and also you will be using all the facility alone without sharing with anybody.
Normally i use to left my keys whenever i travel like that to the house agent of a friend of mine but they cheated alot on my tenants and my tenants complains alot about that,Thats is the reason why i tooks the keys along with me because i dont want my apartment to be use anyhow in my absence. Please I want you to note that,I am a kind and honest man and also I spent alot of money on my property that I want to give you for rent,so I will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this apartment and want you to treat it as your own,is that taken,it is not the money the main problem but want you to keep it tidy all the time so that I will be glad to see it neat when i came for a check up.I do that once in a while.I also want you to let me have trust in you as i always stand on my word.
So I hope you can promise us to take very good care of our apartment.but all you need to do is to go straight to the address i sent you and view the apartment but i want you to have it in mind that you will not have full access into the apartment as it is locked and i am here with the keys.
Thats why i sent you those pics so that you can have an idea of how my appartment looks like.Kindly get back to me so that i can tell you on how to get my apartment reserved and have the keys and the receipt for the month rent..You can simply reach me on +4470457 43701 for further discussion on the apartment.
Best regards
Patrice

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union payment to a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
