Hello,
Thanks for your email response and your interest in my apartment. The apartment is available for $850 per month. I would like you to know that I am not after the money but absolute maintenance of the house as that is what I am after, Everything is not about money. I inherited the apartment from my late father. I lived in the apartment all alone, but presently now i am in Bolton, United Kingdom. I will be residing here for some time due to my current assignment. I will be gone for long so you can rent the apartment for as long as you desire.
I am a US Army who is on Deployment to UK and would be gone for long. I just need someone with an open heart, loving and clean to occupy the apartment and put all my worries off concerning the maintenance of the apartment, since i am not residing there for now.. I left behind some Facilities and electronics like satellite TV which you have to pay for the subscription, and a sony DVD player, air conditioning, alarm system. Each room has the following utilities....wifi, Internet connection(broadband), water, heating system, gas system, you would have free and unlimited access to the Kitchen,Living room and all other parts of the apartment.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary cooking utensils, a refrigerator-freezer, four-hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Also the keys to the apartment are right here with me, and also the lease document. Which I would be sending to you after all necessary agreement has been accepted. The Rent fee also includes the cost of the Utility bill, The utilities include cost for electricity, heating system, water, gas and also the cooling system and also takes care of the parking and the internet (Broadband) and phone connectivity.
Also I will like you to know that the rent charges is not really the issue, but your absolute maintenance of the apartment, because that is the only valuable property my late father left behind, and it also took him so much time and money to put all those facilities in place.
My apartment is situated at:
230 West 71st Street
New York, NY 10023 USA
Hope to read from you soon.
Regards,
John.

Michelle,
,
I have prepared the Rental agreement, kindly go through it and sign on it so that we can proceed on how to make the deposit payment and the sending of the Keys with necessary documents to you. I believe that you are really interested in my apartment and I hope you will keep the promise of keeping it clean? You will have to pay upfront for the first month rent, as indicated in the Apartment agreement form.
I can guarantee that the apartment is quiet and safe and the neighbors are fun people to live with.
One more thing, you have to sign the agreement attached right away and forward it back to me via email, so that I can give you the details you will need to send the rent funds to me in order for me to send the rent receipt, document's and the keys of the apartment to your provided address via FEDEX or DHL service. You can contact me on Phone here in the UK: (+447035925092) to discuss further.
Best Regards,
John.

Hi Michelle
I am good and you?
The payment has to be made in order for me to send the keys, documents and rent receipts to you. Promise me in the name of God that you would take very good care of my apartment, this is all I have got and It means alot to me, Like I said before that I am not after the money but absolute maintainance of the apartment. I can see that you are a nice and honest person and I could trust you with the apartment.
Once i confirm the payment from you which is $850, I would send the document's and the keys of the apartment to your provided address via FEDEX or DHL. I have gotten them ready and they are ready to be sent out to you, Immediately i confirm the payment from you.
You should make the payment to me through western union money transfer, All you need to do is locate a western union office/agent and send the money or you could check there location on http://www.westernunion.com/locator. Below is the information where you would send the money:
Name : John Luckey
Address : 3 Thynne street, Bolton, BL3 6BA United Kingdom
As soon as you send the money, get back to me with the mtcn (10 digits number), details used in sending the money and the amount sent. Once i confirm the payment, I would send out immediately the keys, contract documents and also the reciept of payment.
Once again, Thanks so much for the interest you took in my apartment, And I am sure you would find the apartment very interesting and wonderful place to live. I have also attached a copy of my Passport ID for security to be sure there is nothing to worry about.
Looking forward to read from you with the payment confirmation...
Best Regards,
John.
The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send money (again via Western Union) in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
