Another CL scammer I came across in my search for a rental in Frostburg, MD. From the westmd craigslist. The post has since been removed.
In this one, the person sent me a lot of photos of the place along with their explanation of why it is an active listing for sale. The place is still an active listing and is actually owned by a Gene C Lewis. We sent a few emails back and forth as I fished for information. They even sent me a lease with a signature on it that I was to sign and scan to email back.
Of course, as with all of these, they wanted me to make a money order out to a third party (their "secretary" who was also out of state managing other properties), Ricardo Farmer, and then send them all of the confirmation info from the money order. They didn't give me an address to mail the order to oddly and I haven't responded since the last email because I got bored of it. I just wanted to see how far they would go.

The initial plan was to sell out the House which I tried, but my agents inflates the prize of house because of their selfish gains and it takes longer to sell.i am telling you this in case if you find the house on another website or you found a sign board in front of the house, that is the old adverts,Please ignore. The realtor might still try to be showing the house due to my absence, please ignore them totally in your interest. I need a responsible person (With good credit) that can take very good care of the house,i want it to be clean and be taken care of as if it were yours. Pet are allowed as long as they are not destructive. The rent is $600 and security deposit is $600.
i'm away on a very important business so i won't be able to come and show you around the house as i would have loved to and i might be gone for a while, but attached below are pictures of the interior of the house so you can see what it looks like from the inside . You are free to ask any more information you would like to know about the house and also visit the location.the address is written below.

I have attached the Residential Lease Agreement for you, print it out, sign it, scan it and send it back to me.If you do not have an access to a scanner, please take a picture of the last page with the signature and send that to me. You will need to make the first month rent of $600 and the Security Deposit of $600.. the keys and the Documents will be sent to the address you have provided to me earlier in 24hrs...The payment will be made Via Moneygram money transfer . You can do that in any Moneygram or Walmart store. All utilities are included in the rent.
This is a legal document binding our agreement so be rest assured that as a law abiding citizen, i will definitely hold up my end of the agreement and give you my house for rent, sending you the keys and necessary documents as soon as the payment has been made.
Here are the contents of the documents of the house which would be shipped to you with the keys via FedEx courier service upon payment confirmation to the address you have provided in your questionnaire, and you will receive the package in just 24 hours after payment
1) Entrance and the rooms Keys
2)The house documentary file.
3)Payment Receipt
4) Hard copy of lease agreement.
5) Payment Receipt
Below is my secretary Info you will need in sending the money.
NOTE: After signing the papers, scan it and send it back to me, also make sure you scan the receipt of the payment. I mean the receipt from Moneygram,I want to use it for record keeping.
