Thanks very much for your reply also thank you so much for the information provided. Everything is okay I and my family is pleased with it. I can see your willingness in this rent!!! So as i shall be giving you our apartment, please again take care of the apartment so that i might be glad when i come back. As i have earlier told you, the money involved is not the problem, but i only need my apartment to be kept clean always and taken care of until i return..

I have contacted the DHL Courier Service for the shipment of the apartment keys and documents to your Names: ********Address:******** And below is the content of document and some of the correspondence that we will be sent to you first thing after your move in cost is confirmed.

(1) Entrance and the rooms Keys
(2) Paper/Permanent apartment form (Containing your reference details).
(3) The apartment documentary file.
(4) Payment Receipt.

These will be sent to your current address you have provided to me in the Application form as soon as your First Month Rent is confirmed and the tracking details to the package will be sent to you so that you can possibly occupy our apartment immediately you get the package. Again, i am giving you this on trust and do not disappoint me and i promise you to be of good landlord to you.. i shall be coming to visit you soon to check on you so that i can know how you are taking care of my apartment for me and if it is okay by me.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union payment to a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
