Rental Scammer - [email protected]

Hi! Got the same message. I knew something was fishy when he said he couldnt show the apartment. He also provided an address that was nowhere near an apartment complex. On top of that, he used images from a complex in Boston, MA when advertising in LA.

Here is the original message:

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, it will be only you in the apartment.

However, At this stage that you want to rent my apartment, i need to ask some few questions from you.

1. Can you take care of my apartment ? I mean damages wise..
2. How many months do you intend to rent and pay for?

It is unfortunate that i will not be doing a showing until everything has been solidified and concluded due to past experience taking tenants round the apartment. And also i have to commute from Santa Monica.

I require the security deposit and 1 month rent payment upfront to secure the apartment but before that, i will need some information from you to draft a contract which you will print and bring along with you on your move in date.

Going to report him to the website I am using and look for more ads he posted with that information.
