So regarding the apartment i want you to know that we have decided to let you live in our apartment as we have found your application very satisfactory and acceptable by my family, I understand that you want to stay there for 2 years which is okay by us because we are staying for so long here as well 3years, that's why we need someone that will take good care of it for us which i can see that you will be able take care of it for us because you really sound so reliable , So i will also like to tell you that i initially wanted to sell the apartment but my wife suggested that I rent it out to a responsible people who will be ready to take care of it. Which is why i am willing to rent it out to you, So we would want you to go through this email and get back to us so we could proceed in renting the apartment to you.

We would like to send the following document to you via DHL COURIER SERVICE to the address you fill out in the application form and the tracking number will be sent to you so that you can possibly occupy the apartment, Please once again we are giving you this base on trust and do not disappoint us and i promise you that you will love the apartment once you move in, we are with the below document here with us. The key and the document of the apt will be ship out to you personally as the tenant of my apartment, so i will be happy to send every necessary thing to you to the address you provide in the application form direct as the tenant of my apt so that you can move in directly when you get there.. So i will like you to confirm the delivery fully address of the package from you below once again, because the package contain the keys and documentations will be deliver to you on a next day delivery Via DHL or EMS Courier Service to the address in the rental application, Because the documents coming with the keys are the contents of the document,Entrance and the rooms Keys, Paper/Permanent apt form,The apartment documentation file etc.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
