This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company (see below).
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union payment to a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

I am writing with happiness to inform you that my wife have selected you as our #1 candidate which has made you our potential tenant that we are renting our unit to.
However,I called the building manager on phone a few minutes ago for arrangement for you to view the apartment,he said he can assist me but only if I issue you a letter of authorization signed by me and send you the keys of my apartment. He made me to understand that the building policy kicks against such (He showing any unit in the absence of the owners to any renter without An Authorization note, especially in a case of the owner not in town or on vacation). You can call him for confirmation His name is Lamber Green phone# 2022396662.
Because of the building policy, the option we have to handle the situation is Below
OPTION(1)
IF YOU CAN PROVE TO US THAT YOU HAVE THE FUNDS FOR 1 MONTHS RENT AND A SECURITY DEPOSIT?(definitely not by sending us money) I can fly down to meet with you in person to close the deal with my return ticket and use my wife's return ticket to fly back to UK, that way I will not have to spend cash.provided we close the deal..
OPTION(2)
YOU PROVIDE AN ADDRESS FOR US TO HAVE THE LISTED ITEMS BELOW SHIPPED TO YOU VIA FEDEX TO BE ABLE TO MEET WITH LAtMBER GREEN TO PREVIEW THE UNIT (you will have to make a month rent deposit to us before the shipment which will standing as a commitment from you and this include shipment cost of)
1) Units Keys
2) Lease Agreement
3) Letter of Authorization
4) Payment Receipt for security deposit
However, you can reach me here by phone calling from a Home Phone:
Dial 011447024060887 or +447024060887
We will like to know the OPTION that is perfect for you.
Regards.
