Hi
We own the Apartment 3777 Independence Ave Bronx, NY 10463
listed for $800 with security deposit $800. is very much available for a
ready to move in tenant.Utilities: water,Gas and electric are
included.

However,I am writing to inform you that we have taken the add off
craigslist because my wife has chosen you and one Edwin Perez as our
best choice to rent to.

Which mean I will have to come down from Green bay alone to meet with
either one of you. whoever that is more serious as you know getting an
apartment in NY is very stressful. What we want basically is for a
good and clean tenant to live in the apartment while we are
here..Before I come down I would like to know if you are ready and
have
the total of 1 month rent and security deposit? because I had traveled
all the way only to be disappointment by a renter previously, where
the renter had issues with his pay check therefore causing me a wasted
time and expenses. I'm not ready to go through same experience again.

Kindly let us know If you can prove to us that you have the required
funds one month and security deposit? definitely not by sending us
money.

I will be waiting to hear back from you to see what we can work out.

Regards.
John Weatherley.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

It is not possible because I and my wife live together here in Green bay.
However, we thought about you involving a third party from your
end( your friend, spouse or family member that is close by) and send
the 1 months and security deposit to him or her through Western
Union..Once we are able to track the transaction at
www.westernunion.com to see the status: funds Available! I will then fly down to meet with you face to face ,after seeing the Unit and
signing the lease, Me , you and whoever the money was sent to, can
easily walk down to the closest Western Union store to pick up the
cash and then I get paid.

Nevertheless, If in any case you do not like the Unit, what you do is
go back to where the money was sent from and cancel the transaction
and your money will be refunded to you.. But I am sure you are going
to love the apartment once you set your eyes on it.

You can call me for clarification if you dont understand
