Subject: RE: Reply to your ad: An immaculate 1 bedroom flat to rent in Birmingham
Dear Con Warner,

Thanks for your swift reply. However, owing to my past unpleasant experience of inviting intending tenant to view my flat without confirming if they are actually able to pay their rent at the right time has caused me a great discomfort and as such do not want to experience it anymore, because i have to travel all the way from Scotland to take interested candidate round my flat. I have discovered over the years that Some outside tenants do not have the money to pay the rent and yet they disturb the the landlord to arrange a viewing with their friend or relative who are in the city, also some do not meet up with the appointments which has led to the dismissal of some landlords in office by there employees.

However, you will need to make a reservation deposit but before that, my lawyer will need some few information from you to draft a contract which you'll print and bring along with you on your arrival date to my flat.
Your full name:
Present address:
Confirmed move-in and Move-out date:
Purpose of visit to the UK:

Kindly get back to me with this information so that i can forward it to my lawyer in time.
Regards
Mr/Mrs Stuart

This person asks for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment either to him, your friend or a family member.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, this person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or Moneygram with the promise that they will send the keys through a courier company.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
