Thanks for your email response. my home is still available for rent SGD1700 monthly which include utilities like hydro,heat,laundry facilities, WC.facilities Internet connection, air conditioning, alarm system etc..the kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary cooking utensils, refrigerator-freezer, four-hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and i also want you to know that it was due to my work transfer that made me and my wife to leave the home with an intention of giving it out for rent. I am looking for a responsible person that can take very good care of it as we are not after the money for the rent but want the property to be kept clean all the time as it is our hard-earned property. If you are honestly interested and will absolutely maintain our property (Taking care of it like yours) as i hope i can put my trust and confidence in you presently,I earlier wanted to sale the home but had a second thought to rather put it up for rent, we are here in Africa doing the Lord's duty for humanity, for through our direct service to mankind, the blessings and promises of God will manifest today. The home vital informative documents and the entrance keys to my home is with us, we try to look for dependable agent to handle the rent but could not find one due to the limited time we had before leaving the country. Mostly we do not want our property to be given to any sort of person to avoid damages and troubles. I and my wife came over to Africa for a missionary work, so we hope you will be a good tenant which we've been praying to get.you can go ahead and view it exteriors at your earliest convinient time.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

We are giving you our home,pls again take care of it ..Hope everything is fine with you.However,if you are ready to rent the home now that will not be a problem but we will advice you due to a responsible person like you.

I only need my home to be kept clean always until i will be back.You only be paying SGD1000, Monthly including the utilities inside and it all depends on the period you wish to stay in my place,i will not want you to get worried okay. you only have to tell me the numbers of months in which you can be able to pay as upfront/deposit e.g 1 month: SGD1000. 2 months:SGD2000 etc. As a Man Of it word,i always have this human feelings so i will not do anything to stress or difficult to my fellow human and this is why i want you to tell me the numbers of months in which you can be able to pay as deposit.

So i am with the below document here with me and i will like to know if you are ready for the payment because i would be coming to check on you so that i can know how you take care of our home for us and if it is okay by you, i would collecting the next fee from you by myself. i will be sending the keys to you to the address you have provided to me in the application form Via DHL, Here are the contents of the document.

1) Entrance and the rooms Keys
2)Paper/Permanent home form(Containing your reference details)
3)The home documentary file.
4)Payment Receipt.
5)Full address and description of the home.
6) Lease Agreement (for you to Sign).

So Let me know your decision so that i can send you information on how to make the payment asap and i want you to know that the payment will be made via Money gram or western union. Hope to read from you soonest..

I was looking for apartments to rent and found a very beautiful apartment listed on craig's list for 1/3 the market price. Got an email a few hours later from the Reverend and his wife ([email protected]) . Felt something fishy when he started asking me for money and then he would send me the keys. anyway.. a quick search on the internet with his email led me to this post.

A big thank you to all the mods here for keeping a site like this going!

now where's that bank fraud email, I think i'll send them one back!
