Hello xxx,

I received your email and I'm satisfied with your willingness to pay the rent for my flat.

Also, I have resolved that a willing and serious tenants should be able to make transfer of the security deposit and the rent fee upfront through Western Union or Money Gram Transfer to any of your friends there in France or your family to show as proof that you're 100% ready to pay for the flat before I'll travel over to Paris from Monaco to meet with you for viewing. After which, I will take down the ad from Craigslist and make the flat available for you.

I will want a situation whereby every issue on the tenancy agreement form can be settled on that day and also the handling over of the keys after seeing the apartment.

Please note: I am not asking you to make the transfer to me but to any of your relative name or your friends name to show as a proof since the money would be available in your name.

This is part of my conditions to any interested person wanting to rent the flat.

I will need a recommendation letter from your previous landlord.

Kindly confirm this is clearly understood.

I look forward your email.

Regards

Paul

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.
