Hi,

Let me present myself.
My name is Edwin Ewing, born in Dallas, TX. I am Deputy Director General in Expedia. com.
I have worked in Columbia the last three years and I bought this apartment during my stay there. I'm the owner of the apartment.

Now I am back to my family in Dallas, and I am looking to rent my apartment.
I do not intend to sell the apartment in the next five years.

I had the apartment for rent on Airbnb for short periods of time, but because I do not have time for that, I want to rent it to a person/family only for long periods. My job does not allow me to leave Dallas where I am now, even for a single day. We just hired new staff, and I am in charge of their training, but this will not affect you at all. I can arrange to rent the apartment from here, using Airbnb. If you are interested, please email me back so I can explain how you can rent my apartment through Airbnb.

This Scammer will arrange to send you an Invoice -- Make no mistake, the Invoice will be fake !
If you are reading this because you have received such an invoice, kindly forward it to the address in my signature line and I will report the details to the appropriate authorities.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

Hey I found a post from this guy in the Cleveland area. I got an email from him about what is included, and the address. I didn't get an invoice from him, but if you'd like I can ask for one. Let me know, thanks.

I also got an email after inquiring about a listing in Minneapolis from [email protected] .
It seemed too good to be true which is why I inquired, and then when I got a prompt response I googled his name and it brought me to this forum. This was the email I received, which looks almost exactly like the others some users posted.

I am pretty sad that it did turn out to be a scam as I was pretty excited about the price and location, but I'm glad I did not send him any money or personal information before I found out.

Hello,

Future advice.

Make sure you can physically go inside any rental and meet the landlord face to face prior to renting.

Ask any questions you may have on Scamwarners if in doubt.

Thanks

Hi everyone.
I'm located in Phoenix, AZ and I found this ad on my local Craigslist. I inquired for more details: his definition of "fully equipped" and availability. He resoonded almost immediately with this :

My response was "When can we come see" along with our details of occupation etc. and have not heard from him since. I believe he won't respond since I wanted to tour the place first. Unfortunate but you just have to do your research first
