Thanks for the response about my AD....My name is Vandorra Grace Dickinson and am 23yrs old, originally from California..I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree and I also do a part-time job as an occupational health nurse (OHN)..I am dependable, honest, clean, responsible, trustworthy and am a non smoker..I tend to have someone who can take pretty good care of the place and generally keep it reasonably clean..

More about me:
I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, I love to travel, I like going out to bars, I really love shopping, I like to exercise, I like to do pretty much anything social, but I also love to stay home and cuddle up with a good book or dvd..and again I really like sports and cooking..Love Deep muses, Surrealism, Philosophy, esp. Eastern, Anthropology (was Major), adore nature, kids & animals, exploring city, absurd & sublime, sundry & divine..

These apartment belongs to my late father and my mother have been managing and maintaining the apartment before she re-married and relocated...So you will be sharing the apartment with me alone..

The exact address is: 96 Baxter St. New York, NY 10013 and it's not far from the Transit: Centre St/ Canal St..Taxis can be hailed anywhere at any time day or night..

Rent is $900 /month /room including the whole utilities just as listed in my AD.....$900 for the security deposit which will obviously be returned whenever you decide to move out..The room is available now, dates and duration are flexible and we usually just go with the standard first month rent and security deposit upfront plus reference and you will need to sign a tenancy agreement..

Therefore, I will like to know where you are originally from and when exactly you will be coming to the apartment and am confidently assuring you that you will be more than satisfied when you come to the apartment while you will have your private bathroom...You can see the attached pictures of the room below..

Thanks for your interest and I hope to read from you soon..

Best Regards.

Vandorra.

P.S: My photography skills are lacking at best, sorry!

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
