The problem for craigslist is - if an honest landlord looks at that page, is he going to post his property there seeing a wall of ridiculously priced scam competition ? The result being that craigslist becomes the preserve of scammers alone.

I don't blame anyone but scammers and no one in this forum is in any doubt about the menace of scammers to individuals and companies alike, but if craigslist doesn't wake up to the harm they'll do to their site, their reputation will suffer.

Members such as Michelle and Michael and others have worked hard on this area over a long period of time, in their own time effectively helping to obviate the problem, but it's getting out of hand in spite of their massive efforts.

That's usually the case in their Copenhagen and Swiss rental sections as well ~ real ads there are incredibly rare.

Come to think of it, there's an incredible amount of fiction in their Australian rent ads too.

Hunting scammers is like eating peanuts ~ it's really hard to stop at just one.

50% of the ads here today are scams

based on the ridiculous prices and association with reported fake websites

It's barely worth looking deeper into the the other listings to check their credibility.
